HISBE’s

Since moving office, we’ve been using HISBE’s Supermarket as our local go-to for tea and other office essentials! All of their stock is sourced from small local producers and brands that trade responsibly, fairly and sustainably.

They also have a refill station which allows us to restock our washing-up liquid and hand soap without the use of single-use plastic. It's really easy to do, it's really cheap, and best of all, it helps us to reduce our plastic waste! They even have a station where you can re-fill glass bottles with oat milk.

A Share of The Crop

Each week we are supplied with a range of delicious local, fresh, seasonal fruit (wherever possible) hand-delivered to our door by A Share of the Crop - and without any plastic packaging! The farm is in Hailsham (East Sussex) and is family-run, by Kevin McGary, alongside his wife Jo and their children Matthew and Grace.

They take the time to write up a letter for the fruit boxes each week with updates from the business and the farms they work with, which we think is a great touch.

Real Patisserie

Every Monday morning, the Buff team sit down together and enjoy a range of delicious bread and pastries, from Brighton-based Real Patisserie. The quality of their baked goods is unrivalled, in our opinion, and sustainability is at the forefront of their decision-making when sourcing ingredients.

The Seep Company

For a while now, we’ve been using Seep’s Eco Kitchen Sponges for washing up. We have found these to be a great alternative to regular kitchen sponges which are often made from synthetic fibres, meaning they take ages to break down and just end up in landfills around the world. We would highly recommend making the switch!

Smol

We have a regular subscription for dishwasher tablets from Smol. The company has made it their mission to draw attention to issues such as the plastic and chemical crisis, which is great, as many brands don't take responsibility for how much plastic/chemical waste they are producing. Smol makes a difference by removing excess water and pointless chemicals from their products. These rehydratable tablets significantly cut carbon emissions as less transport, production and packaging is needed. The tablets are sent out in 100% plastic-free, recyclable and compostable packaging too. We also get our surface cleaning cloths from Smol as they’re also plastic-free. When we're done with them, we can simply compost them or just add them to our rubbish, and they will harmlessly biodegrade leaving no toxic residue!

Who Gives A Crap

Who Gives A Crap is on a mission to help improve sanitation in the developing world by donating 50% of their profits to help build toilets and provide access to clean water. Not only are they committed to this cause, but also instead of cutting down trees to create their toilet rolls, they’re made with 100% recycled fibres (or 100% renewable and sustainable bamboo if you go Premium). We receive a regular supply of tissues, kitchen rolls and toilet paper for our building with carbon-neutral shipping. All of their packaging is plastic-free, recyclable, and cute! We love having it in the studio.
