F37® Foundry is an award-winning type foundry that creates fonts and logotypes to help businesses stand apart.

The Challenge

F37® Foundry is an award-winning type foundry that creates fonts and logotypes to help businesses stand apart. They wanted to showcase their new font collection in a series of short animations to be shared across their social channels. The new Britain Collection contains seven disparate but perfectly patriotic fonts, and each of these needed its own loop.

The idea behind F37 Britain Collection was to create seven disparate but perfectly patriotic fonts. We’ve compiled a video montage above; which is your favourite?

The Solution

In collaboration with the talented team at Found, we produced a looping animation for the new typefaces. Each font was given its own quintessentially British theme which provided the wording and design. Found created some relevant 3D objects, like a stick of rock or a cup of tea. We then animated the typeface itself, exploring different font weights to give the viewer a feel for the type design.

Deliverables:

7x short animated loops for use online, one for each typeface in the collection
